Working with us
An engagement built like a ledger, not a sales funnel
UK financial advice at Fairwater follows a repeatable sequence so you always know which meeting you are in and what you will receive next.
-
Discovery call
We confirm whether your question sits inside regulated advice, outline likely meetings, and share fee guidance. If we are not the right firm, we say so and suggest alternatives where we can.
-
Letter of engagement
Paid work begins only after you accept a written scope and fee. The letter names the consultation type, what is excluded, and how to cancel.
-
Fact-find and documents
You gather pension statements, ISA valuations, protection schedules, and spending notes. We meet in Heaneyham or by video to test assumptions — especially capacity for loss and near-term cash needs.
-
Written plan
Recommendations arrive in plain English with a sequence for the next one to three years. A clarification meeting follows so you can challenge numbers before anything is implemented.
-
Optional implementation
Only if you instruct us. Applications and provider paperwork proceed with costs disclosed first. You may take the plan elsewhere; ownership of your decisions stays with you.
Where meetings happen
Most clients prefer a mix: document collection by email, then one or two deep meetings at our Heaneyham office or on video. On-site visits elsewhere in Wales can be arranged when caring duties or mobility make travel difficult; travel time is reflected in the fee quote.
Bring a partner or adult child if they share financial decisions — we would rather hear disagreement in the room than discover it after a product is applied for.
